THE MOUNT NELSON HOTEL
The Mount Nelson Hotel boasts six individual wings, separated from the Main Hotel, each with its own unique character, private gardens and facilities. Malvern Manor makes an excellent base from which to explore the garden route, which is famous for its scenic beauty, fynbos , long sandy beaches and some of the finest golf courses in the world. Golfers have a wide choice of world class courses nearby, with Fancourt only 2 km away, and for the less serious golfer or beginner there are many practice courses within a few kilometers. Other activities include site seeing, game viewing, horse riding, surfing, whale watching, shark diving, abseiling, hiking, canoeing, cycling, to name just a few. There is also a heated swimming pool, for guests to cooling off in.
Oudsthoorn, Mossel Bay, Knysna and Plettenburg Bay all within one hours drive.
There is a selection of fine restaurants nearby and George centre is only 8 kilometers away.

 Green Factor: Have own mountain water from a borehole, so it is not treated and full of chemicals - recycling all vegetable waste to the compost heap, which goes on the garden - We also use well rotted manure for the garden - recycle paper, bottles, plastic, as we have no refuse collection - all possible light bulbs are low energy wattage, and the swimming pool is heated by solar - waste water goes back onto the fields, and we use a conservation tank, it has just been emptied first time for about 6 years, so it was good stuff!!
We support the following charities. Zanzele, a local charity in Blanco, that teaches women to make cards that are sold in the guest house. Phambili, George. This is a charity which provides support to battered women and rape victims, by providing a home for the women and children for 3 months, helps them to apply to the courts for an injunction against the perpetrators, and protection orders. We have provided a private room in the police station and the local hospital for the rape victims, many of whom are also children.
