Local and Sustainable Food
We use local and organic food for all our weddings. We also supply organic wines, or traditional wines in eco-friendly Tetra Paks.
Water Conservation
Most venues in South Africa are more than aware of water conservation!
Sustainable Materials
We use sustainable materials where we can. Our table décor can be made from wire and beaded crafts, our flower decorations can be potted plants, or silk flowers or organically grown herbs. These are things that guests can take away with them, or that can be shared with maybe another wedding couple.
Sustainable Transport
We try to use sustainable transports wherever possible. We offer the romantic choice of horse and carriage and of course foot power is the best! However if cars are needed for transportation, we make sure that the travelling distance is short and we offer advice on carbon offsetting options for the travellers. But remember, in general terms you are making a considerable difference to your carbon footprint already by choosing the “Green” route.
Culture & Heritage
We are interested in preserving the cultural heritage of South Africa and this therefore gives us many and varied choices on ceremony venues, traditional entertainers and local craftspeople.
Diversity and Fair Trade
We strive to employ local craftspeople and pay good rates for the services they provide. We have diverse cultures in South Africa and we use facets from all when planning our wedding days.
Ethical Finance
We donate to charity, and for each wedding we plan we buy trees to sustain the environment.
Waste Reduction
We use little paper in our business life – our planning is predominantly carried out by ourselves and clients over the internet. We use re-cycled paper for our business cards and any marketing material.
Company Policy
We have policy that requires us to follow all the above guidelines and to strive to use our ethical beliefs in all of our dealings with our clients and suppliers.
